Job Responsibilities:
· Oversee and manage all aspects of the logistics operations within the organisation.
· Plan, implement, and manage the overall supply chain strategy to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods to customers.
· Identify potential risks to the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate them.
· Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock and carrying costs.
· Monitor and control logistics costs to ensure profitability while maintaining service levels.
· Outsource logistics and supply chain management functions to third-party providers who specialize in handling various aspects of logistics operations on behalf of companies (3PL—third-party logistics).
· Oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of goods within a warehouse or distribution centre and ensure that products are stored in the right place, picked up accurately, and delivered to customers on time.
· Experience working on a Warehouse Management System (WMS), which manages and controls warehouse operations, including inventory management, order picking, and shipping.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.
· Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards governing logistics operations.
